Our people

Shared Ownership Resources has always relied on the goodwill and support of a large network of people. Some with lived experience of shared ownership; some with professional legal, financial and housing expertise. We are grateful to everyone who helps us do what we do.

Sue launched Shared Ownership Resources on social media, in 2019, in response to her poor experience of lease extension. The website followed in 2021. Sue is now recognised as an expert on shared ownership, and is committed to better outcomes for shared owners, not forgetting people who inherit shared ownership properties.

When she’s not campaigning on affordable housing issues, Sue is happiest travelling the country with her husband in their camper van

We are grateful to the lived experience experts who’ve collaborated on the My SO Home series. And all the other shared owners, former shared owners, and people who’ve inherited shared ownership who have contributed their expertise in various ways over the years, and continue to do so.

Shared Ownership Resources could not provide the service it does without the support of a number of professionals who volunteer pro-bono advice and collaboration on website content.

Zahrah Aullybocus is a Property Partner with Nexa Law. She is experienced in freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity, though leaseholds are her strong point. However, her passion is for shared ownership leases!

Zahrah has written a An Expert On… features for Shared Ownership Resources on a range of topics including buyback and estate services charges.

Shared Ownership Resources would not exist without the support of a number of founding donors: Paul Bell, Daniel Bond, Tony James, Lynsey Marshall, Derek Phillips, Audrey Verma (and a number of anonymous donors who supported our initial Crowdfunder). Thank you for your generosity!
